Round 5 of the Euroformula Open Championship took place on the Hungaroring track in Budapest.
After some usual free practices sessions, there was a lot of hard work done by the team and Vlad to understand what went wrong and to improve the speed.
With a last convincing free practice, the pace was enough to go for the pole position in qualifying. And that was job done, as Vlad signed his first pole position of the season!
Races went a bit more difficult as he wasn’t able to keep the lead and had to finish P2 on the first race.
Starting P5 and P6 in both races 2 and 3, it was two P5 finish.
Still first in the rookie championship and 3rd in the global standings.
It’s now time for a long summer holidays break, before being back in Imola, first week of September for the 6th Round of the season.
